Chapter Thirteen

Yanna

I was so sick of Aries playing with me. He didn't think I knew he was messing around with Keeria. I didn't know at first, but I caught the shade the bitch threw that night at the club, and when he left me at home later that night, I knew it was true. It was all good though because I had something for both of their asses. "Anni, come on before you're late to school."

"Coming, Mommy!" I was getting my daughter ready for school while his bitch ass was upstairs, sleep, like he didn't have a care in the world. I didn't have to work today, so I was going to find something to get into so I didn't have to be around his ass. Anni came downstairs with her father right behind her. In her eyes, he was a king, and I loved their relationship. I just wished he valued ours the same way.

"Come on, baby. We're already running late."

"Can Daddy come with us?" she asked innocently.

Before I could say anything, Aries opened his big mouth. "Daddy has to go meet Uncle Ace, but how about this; I'll pick you up from school, and we can go get ice cream." Anni smiled and hugged her daddy around his neck.

"Yay! You're the best Daddy ever!" she squealed.

"At least you appreciate one of us," I said.

"Don't start no shit, Yanni," Aries said in a low but harsh tone like he scared somebody.

Aries walked us outside and buckled Anni in her seat and kissed her on the forehead.

"Anni, tell Daddy bye so we can go."

"Bye, Daddy! I'll see you after school, OK? Don't go for ice cream without me."

"I won't, baby girl, I promise. Aye, Yanni, you off today?"

"Yeah, why?" I asked with an obvious attitude.

"Never mind, man." He walked off with an attitude like I did something to him.

After dropping Anni off, I went by my mom's to see if she wanted to go to breakfast.

"Ma! Where you at?" I knew she was here because she didn't work since my Daddy had his own construction company. "I know she hears me," I said to myself since nobody else was in here. "Ma!"

"Girl, shut the hell up with all that yelling! If I wasn't up, I am now." My mother came into view, fastening her robe, with my daddy following close behind, shirtless.

"Ewww, y'all could've at least put some clothes on. Nobody wants to see that." I gagged

Playfully, but I seriously didn't want to picture my parents having sex.

"Oh girl, please. You act like me and your daddy old or something. We still like to turn up too. Nobody says anything when you ask us to babysit so you can go and turn up on Aries." My mama looked at me with her arms folded, and my daddy was in the background, hyping her up.

"That's right, baby. She must not know how we get down," my daddy said while kissing my mom on her neck, making her giggle like a schoolgirl.

"Yeah, I'm gonna go.
